Usually I swear by hating like heavy metal, scream-o music. I mean I've always been able to listen to Pete's screaming in Saturday and all of that. But I've always hated the whole scream-o music scene. Except for some reason I've gotten totally into The Downfall of Us All by A Day To Remember. I mean it's not filled with screams or anything like that, not at all. But it's an amazing song really. It's a bit heavier than most things I listen to, but it's addicting and super fun to just jump around like a maniac to. Haha, yeah I like to pretend that I'm hardcore like that.

So yeah, today I'm just sitting around being lazy before I have to go to my eight hour shift at work tomorrow. Oh god. I'm totally not looking forward to it. Why couldn't have he started me on a like five hour shift or something? Is he trying to kill me? haha. Oh well... whatever. I guess I'll just have to learn everything. He basically wants me to do floor, cash and copy center. So I'll be learning a lot tomorrow I guess. Hopefully I will be able to remember everything. So far everyone has seemed pretty nice, I talked to two of the four managers and they were pretty nice guys so it was all good.

Now i've just got to save up for stuff. Stuff like insurance for my car, a mac laptop, oh yeah and college tuition. Hah that might help a bit right? And i'm pretty sure I'm going to be a very broke person. I mean at $8.50 an hour it's probably going to take a hell of a lot of shifts to get my wish list. So basically I don't really have a hell of a lot to say today, oh aside from the fact that tomorrow is my parents 24th anniversary and we are going out for dinner. Hellz yes, i actually get to be included in that dinner LOL. Yeah I know, it's lame as hell, but i'm not turning down dinner at an expensive restuarant. When people hear that I get to go along with my parents they give me this really weird look, but I don't care and my parents don't care so it's all good. We are a fairly tight-knit family to be honest, probably cause I'm an only child or something like that. I'm not totally sure, but whatever. Even if I do tend to get in a hell of a lot of fights with my mom. I get along a lot better with my dad, mainly because my mom is more hot-headed and my dad is a lot more calm and relaxed like I am. I always hate it when I get into an arguement with my mom. Basically i'll try and walk away and just leave it until later when we are both a little less pissed off but then she just comes back at me even more angry so it's really not good. My dad does the same thing as me and it totally pisses her off. Haha, yeah I got a bit off track with that. Anyways, thats about all I really have to say and it's really not all that important but I felt like I had to write something since i'm not really keeping up with this blog very well. I'm trying to I swear i've just been really busy with job searching and stuff. And i'll get busy with work soon so hopefully I'll still be able to get on regularily.

wow. so i finally got my damn job. exciting right? well not really. i mean i guess it really didn't take all that long to get one. to be honest, i only handed out like ten resumes and i got three calls, so i was actually rather proud of myself. i had my first interview at office depot, exciting right? well not really haha. but basically i'm working in the copy centre where you do like photocopies of stuff and you make up fliers and that kinda junk. i'm actually kind of glad i got that job to be honest. i've always wanted to get into the whole graphic design thing and i'm thinking that this would be a good reference for me at least. it's an entry into the business of it and it's not exactly an easy business to get into. i'd love to even do like web design and stuff like that. i'm super fluent in photoshop and stuff but as far as like the whole web building thing goes i'm not great with coding. i guess i've got to learn all that stuff. i'm thinking that i might just take a course at school for it next year.

so basically yes, i would absolutely love to get into graphic design. my ultimate goal is to design like cd covers and inserts and stuff like that, even like movie posters or tour posters. anything like that. i think it would be totally awesome. book covers even. i mean someone has to do all that stuff right? why not me. i'm pretty sure i could do it, and i'm damn sure that i would love doing it. cause thats the kinda junk that i love doing, photoshop is my homeboy. or something like that. but yeah, i got the job from my first interview which was pretty rad. and i'm not gonna lie, i'm totally nervous about it. but the staff there seemed nice enough so hopefully all will go well. and the best part of it all? it's part time. so i can lounge around and still be a lazy ass at least sometimes. haha. obviously i'd love to get a full time job sooner or later but i've just got to wait for a position to open and then it will be all good. so i'll let you go how my first day goes, which is on monday. it should be interesting i've got an eight hour shift, 1:00 until 9:30. wish me luck!

Well I finally went out and got my L again. It has been expired for a good four months now and i finally had time to go out and get it. Well it wasn't so much that i didn't have time as much as it was that i was just wayyy too lazy to actually get off my ass and get it. Anyways i passed right away, i only got three questions wrong out of the possible 10 so it was pretty good. It only took about 15 minutes too so it wasn't like it took me a year to do. I remember the last time I did it i got like nine questions wrong. Which was pretty pathetic in my opinion, i mean i passed by one. But at least I did good this time so I was pretty happy about that. Now my parents just have to pay for the whole driver training thing so i can get started on that. I need to get all of that crap done so i can actually go out and get a job and stuff. My parents aren't totally into the idea of driving me to work everyday and i don't really want to take the bus either. So it's just something that needs to be done i assume.

Anyways on a side note, i'm super bummed out that the Boys like girls/Cobra Starship tour isn't coming here. I mean not only would they be there but so would The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon and VersaEmerge. Now that would be an epic tour am I right? I'm totally upset that nothing ever comes to Vancouver. The good tours always pass us by and the Warped Tour last year which was probably the best line up I have seen in my entire life obviously skipped us. How lame is my life? haha.

I'm going on the VMA website and voting for the cobra's everyday. I really want them to win. I will honestly cry tears of joy if they win. Ok probably not but i'll be super stoqued none the less. The cobra's have a pretty decent following as does gossip girl so I really think that they do have a shot at it. It's not like Beyonce, Britney or Lady Gaga need another award to add to their collections and the other Wisin & Yandel people, who knows who they are. Unless I'm just totally out of the loop and unconnected to life haha.

Oh and another thing that is bothering me is the whole twilight craze. Sure, I read all the books and quite liked them. But then once the movies came out and they gave birth to Robert Pattinsons fame I just started to despise the series and somewhat regret having anything to do with it. I for one hate robert and the rest of the cast. How can anyone ever say that he is hot? Because he is about the ugliest, greasiest most unsanitary guy on the planet. Not only that but he is totally awkward and creepy. I just don't understand how anyone can like him. Then again it's kinda the same with the whole Jonas Brothers craze. I mean ughhhh seriously? Where have peoples taste in men gone to? Because obviously people seem to have lost it. I could list a ton of guys that are hotter than them. I'm thinking about a bunch of them right now, listing them in my head. I would list them here for you right now but that list would probably go on for too long. So instead i'll just leave you with a picture of one of those guys.

So today I'm going to go through my Top 8 Style Icons. Ok so most of them probably wouldn't be classified as 'style icons' but to me they are people that I'm inspired by. I love what these people wear and I always love to see what they are wearing next. The thing I like best about these eight people is that they wear things that a normal person would wear. Yeah, we are straying from the whole Crazy Katy outfits now and going on to more of an everyday thing. Anyways here is my list.


#1: Cassadee Pope. Not only is she probably the cutest thing on the planet but she also has this really cool style. It's very edgy but also very simple. Though this girl can totally just rock a pair of jeans and a tank top I love seeing her wide array and collections of vests.


#2: Hanna Beth Merjos. Alright, well easily stated this girl is gorgeous and would look good in anything. But she's always been on the trend-setting edge of fashion. Whether she is rocking an over sized men's flannel shirt or a bowler hat. She just throws things together and she always looks amazing. Plus the fact that she was born in Vancouver is pretty sweet. hah.


#3: Frieda Rose. This Australian beauty always has these super girly outfits which I totally love. I'd probably never wear half of the things she does but I totally love her style, it's just so cute and fun. She's even been able to pull of this whole like over-all set and she made it look fantastic. One day I'd definitely like to try her style out a bit, I'm not totally into the whole dress/skirt thing but she totally makes it look amazing.


#4: Ashlee Simpson. So I've always loved Ash's style. She's always had this girly punk rocker style going on and she absolutely looks amazing in it. As Pete would say 'she's a stone fox' so it's not hard for her to look amazing. The red pants are totally awesome, although she probably stole them from Pete. But whatever, I've totally got a pair of those in my drawer.


#5: Gabe Saporta. Ok so it's impossible to make a list of my style icons without this guy. Sure, he's a dude. But you can't say that he doesn't have this totally wack sense of style which is at the same time so completely amazing. He's always prancing around in neon colors and I totally love that. I mean how often do you see a dude wearing purple skinny jeans? Not all that often. But I think it's pretty sweet. He's got such a rad collection of t-shirts. No joke though, I would probably wear half of the stuff he does. Despite the fact that he's like super tall and i wouldn't fit into any of it. But that's totally beside the point.


#6: Victoria Asher. Being in a band with a bunch of dudes certainly makes you want to bring out your feminine side I'm sure. So Victoria totally pulls off the awesome dresses she's got. We all know she's a fan of Marc Jacobs and has been known to wear a few of his pieces on stage. I absolutely love her cute little mini dresses and she makes them look awesome all the time.


#7: Blair Waldorf/Leighton Meester. Well Blair Waldorf totally has her own sense of style, the whole preppy thing is totally cute. But Leighton totally can hold her ground on her own. She's got this really awesome style. But who can really deny the classic Blair Waldorf headbands? Those are my favourite part of every outfit.


#8: Lights/Valerie Poxleitner. She is just a total cutie. That's impossible to deny. But I totally love her rockerchic style. She definitely has her own thing going on and she can totally rock just about anything she wears. I loved it when she was in her headband faze, but she is honestly the cutest thing ever.

Now Katy Perry is probably one of the most quirky people out there. And that is totally apparent from what she wears, so I decided to count down my top favorite crazy Katy Perry Outfits. There were so many to choose from that I absolutely love, but these are just my top five picks. I'll be sure to do a more normal top 5 of Katy too because she really does wear some amazing clothes and really has a cool sense of style. So anyways, here are my picks.

Nothing super exciting happened today or anything, but i didn't mention the fact that i'm totally stoked that Jeanine won SYTYCD! That like made me jump around and scream, my dad can prove that. He gave me a pretty weird look. haha. But yeah, today I actually went out shopping. I got a bunch of stuff, mainly shirts and stuff. Actually I got two t-shirts, a red/black plaid flannel shirt thing, three tank-tops, three pairs of rayban style sunglasses (two red and one black, it was cheaper to buy three for $5 rather than one for $7.50, retarded right?) and two vests. I'm kinda going for the whole Cassadee Pope look, because i kind of love her. She is like my idol, for real. But I couldn't resist adding a little Gabe Saporta flavor in there with the plaid flannel XD Because we all know that I am obsessed with that boy. I guess I can hardly call him a boy though, considering he is 29 and all and almost 30. So he's kind of an old man. LOL. Kidding, totally not but whatever.

Hot Mess is epic btw. I'm seriously in love with all of the songs on that record. Nice Guys Finish Last and You're Not In On The Joke are two of my favourites, aside from Good Girls Go Bad and Pete Wentz.... I'm totally not writing out the whole title, I mean come on cobra's are we totally going to be like FOB and start making insane titles that you can't even fit on the back of a CD. Oh and did I mention that you get a sweet free membership to the Cobra Crew if you buy the CD? Yeah, thats awesome right? It's like their fanclub or something. Gabe is so awesome it's not even funny. He's like such a real dude, he went on his blog and asked all the fans what they thought about a fan club because he said he was kind of sketchy about the whole thing. So he suggested that all the people that actually went out and bought the CD would get a free fanclub membership. It is the reason I love them so much, they are just such real people. They don't give a shit about the money, ok that's a lie, I'm sure they care a little bit haha. But they aren't like assholes about it and everything. And most importantly they don't take themselves too seriously, I mean any band that sings about pete wentz being the only reason they are famous has to be pretty rad right?

I got the latest issue of AP magazine, probably my favourite magazine ever by the way. They had a couple pages on Cobra Starship and I just loved the photoshoot for that. It was amazing. Probably the most awesome thing I've ever seen. I love Gabe and his obsession with hobosexual. Yes hobo. Like metro i guess, but hobo. I don't totally understand his logic, but it's funny as hell.

I'm so excited for all of my shows to come back, like Greek for one thing. It starts on August 31st I believe, I have to like watch it online cause we don't get that show here in Canada, well we do but it's only like the first season. But whatever, I love that show. It is amazing. And there are a million other shows I wanna see too, like I kinda wanna see Melrose Place. Just because Ashlee Simpson(Wentz) is in it XD Is that sad? I don't care. I also want to see The Vampire Diaries, oh and of course Gossip Girl, Heroes and all of those other awesome shows. I can't get enough of the Chuck/Blair thing so i'm so damn stoked to see what they do with them this season. It would be nice for them to actually have a bit of a normal relationship, even if only for a little while. Yeah, so now i've realized i'm just blabbering on about nothing important, so i'll shut up now <3

So I think everyone should go vote for the MTV VMA's. Especially in this category http://tinyurl.com/mmovmk because, well Cobra Starship's Good Girls Go Bad is in it! That's pretty awesome right! I would soooooo love to see them kick Lady Gaga's ass. Seriously, I'm so tired of that girl it's not even funny. Everytime one of her songs comes on the radio I just change the station, I seriously get totally pissed off whenever she pops up. I just have grown to hate her, you know at first she was alright but now she's just downright annoying and pathetic. I mean first off what's with the crazy outfits? I mean there is Katy Perry who wears some pretty insane outfits too but Katy manages to pull them off Gaga is just ick. But I really think that the Cobra's deserve some love, plus I just really want to see Gabe's face when he wins, or his acceptance speech. How awesome would that be right? I'm totally excited for their new album to come out, I mean it's pretty sick right! August the 11th I believe, it leaked today on MTV's the leak. But of course just my luck it wont let me play it because I live in Canada and they don't give licensing rights out to us or something like that. How messed up is that right?

Totally pissed me off, but I guess i'm kind of used to the whole getting screwed over by the states thing. Yeah so this week has been pretty damn boring, not much has really gone on. I've kind of just sat around the house being a lazy ass. I went out for ice cream yesterday, so that was like the highlight of my week haha. Pretty sad right? Oh well, not much I can do about that. My parents have gotten the fishing bug lately and there is no way that I was going to get up at 5 in the morning to go out and watch them catch nothing and get really lame sunburns. I went on Saturday and I seriously got the most ridiculous one on my foot, i swear to god it looks like the shape of an elephant. No idea how that happened but it hurts like hell!
